Hinstock Manor Residential Care Home is located in the picturesque village of Hinstock, which is set in rural Shropshire and is owned by Sian Walker who lives close by with her husband and two daughters. Sian has worked in the Care industry for over twenty years and is also a qualified Chef.
Sian has built a fabulous team of well-trained and caring staff who share her vocation and whilst still a regular presence at Hinstock Manor, day-to-day running of the Residential Care Home is undertaken by the Care Manager.
Initially, the Residential Care Home was based within Hinstock Manor, a classic Georgian Manor House with original features – offering residents a cosy, home-from-home setting. In 2014 Hinstock Manor added a contemporary style wing with bright, light and spacious rooms was added with a more modern and contemporary feel. This new wing also includes two beautiful one bedroom apartments – to assist in a more independent life, each has a kitchen, bedroom, living room and wet room. Rooms throughout the Residential Care Home are named after local villages – Lockley (downstairs in the original building), Goldstone (upstairs in the original building), Mill Green (downstairs in the contemporary wing) and Ercall (upstairs in the contemporary wing).
Hinstock Manor can accommodate up to 51 residents in forty-eight rooms and two one bedroom apartments. 35 of these rooms are en suite.
Hinstock Manor is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) under the Health and Social Care Act 2008 and is fully compliant to provide accommodation for persons who require personal care, including those with dementia. The CQC are the regulatory body whose responsibility is to check whether hospitals, care homes and care services are meeting essential standards.
