Food & Drink
At Hinstock Manor we understand how important good care home food is to our Residents, clearly healthy and nutritious food is a must, but so is the fact that the care home food menu is varied, includes locally sourced produce (where possible) and is beautifully presented. All of our food is sourced from local suppliers.
We serve three meals a day including a Continental and cooked breakfast, a three course lunch and a lighter high tea, hot and cold drinks and snacks are available throughout the day! Meals are served in our two lovely dining rooms – the Goldstone Dining Room in the traditional part of the Residential Care Home, and the Mill Green Dining Room in the new wing. If residents prefer they can have their meal in their room or in one of the lounges.
Continental breakfast includes a choice of cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurts and toast, this can be followed by a cooked breakfast which includes favourites such as scrambled eggs, bacon and sausages. Lunch is a real occasion with all residents encouraged to eat in the dining rooms (but it’s fine if they’d rather eat elsewhere!). The dining room tables are beautifully set up and the three course lunch is served course by course. A typical lunch menu includes homemade soup, followed by locally sourced gammon steaks with fresh vegetables and new potatoes, and a choice of fresh and cooked desserts including locally-picked strawberries and rice pudding.
The Residential Care Home actively encourages residents and their families and friends to bring in their favourite recipes as our Chef, Natalie are always very willing to try new things.
