Welcome to Hinstock Manor
Hinstock Manor Residential Care Home is located in the picturesque village of Hinstock, which is set in the Shropshire countryside. There are local amenities close by including a post office which includes a small shop, the Parish Church, Methodist Church and Village Hall. All of these features contribute to enriching the lives of the Residents of Hinstock Manor, and their family and friends visiting them.
Initially, the Residential Care Home was based within Hinstock Manor, a classic Georgian Manor House with original features – offering Residents a cosy, home-from-home setting. In 2014 a sizeable new wing with bright, light and spacious rooms was opened with a more modern and contemporary feel. This contemporary style wing also includes two beautiful, one-bedroom apartments perfect for couples seeking a more independent life within a Residential Care Home as each apartment has a kitchen, bedroom, living room and wet room.
Hinstock Manor can accommodate up to 51 residents in forty-seven rooms, 35 of which are ensuite, plus two one-bedroom apartments.
All bedrooms have a TV point and the option of a telephone point. There are two communal lounge areas, both with a television, and a Resident’s snug (quiet room). There are also two dining rooms, all areas can be used by our residents to chat, watch TV, listen to music and to entertain their guests.
Hinstock Manor offers a wide choice of meals and snacks including breakfast, a three course lunch and high tea with drinks and snacks provided throughout the day and night. We encourage all of our residents to eat their meals in our dining rooms but if they wish to eat their meals in the privacy of their own room or in one of the communal lounges then that is fine too. We cater for all dietary needs and indeed preferences!
The home operates within strict Health and Safety guidelines; safety features include a sprinkler system and smoke detectors. Thermostatic radiators are fitted in every room along with a 24 hour care call system to ensure residents are able to request assistance at any time of the day or night.
With the highly trained team, Hinstock Manor welcomes Residents with Dementia, however, it is a Residential Care Home, so does not provide nursing care. Nursing needs are met through the district nursing service and community psychiatric nurses.
We would be delighted to show you around Hinstock Manor Residential Care Home, so please feel free to call into our reception area and we will be happy to give you a tour. There is no need to make an appointment but please do be mindful that the needs of our residents come first and therefore there may be a short wait. If you would like to talk to MD and Manager Sian Walker it is better to make an appointment so she can be assured to give you the time and attention you require.
